**OFFICIAL Cricketweb Football Premiership Discussion and Results Thread** Season 1

Loony BoB

International Captain
As a defender I have to say it's annoying that if we lower our aggression in such a high-goalscoring league then even more goals get scored, and if we increase our aggression then we get sent off every time. What are the refs on at the moment?

EDIT: I mean what level of strictness, not what they're smoking.

They were set at random levels, ranging from 20 the highest to 1 the lowest...

Hmm first past the post, i guess there is only one goal for us left this season and it could be achieved after this round...

Sorry mate, missed that completley...

I think Football is traditionally first passed the post, so i think thats the best way to go..
A-League does the whole Playoff system.
Premier League doesn't and the Football League only does it to decide the last promotion spot.

Most of Europe doesn't do playoffs tbh.

A League and the US do the playoff thing, IIRC they are the only 2...

If the general feeling is people want a playoff then we could do that, however most i know are against it..

My personal view is there should be something for those teams down the lower end. If there isn't then basically this is our final real competitive match cause if we win this we're stuck in no man's land in 5th with a slight possibility of 4th but makes no difference if there is not a final's series. I'd have said the same thing had we been top as well but ultimately if people decide they don't want playoffs then that's fine as well.

I think the first past to post should get the spot in the Oceania Club World Championship, but there should be semi finals, to keep interest going in the last quarter. Its going to get very boring if there is nothing for 4 teams to play for after another two rounds, which might be the case.

Just another quick reminder to captains to try and get teams in ASAP and i will run round 15 today...

Have received teamsheets from Stallions and Power so far...

Cricketweb Premiership Gameday 15

Central United vs Western Dynamo
at Twybridge Road

Central Hosted the ever sliding Dynamo.. The Dynamo needed to stop the slide that has seen them fall out of the title race, whilst a win for Central would see them move to within 2 points of the Dynamo and push for 3rd...

East Coast Fury vs Island Swell
at Cricketweb Stadium

First vs Second, and a match that could all but secure the title for the Fury.. They would however have to do it without many key players and against the in-form team of the comp... The Swell scoring goals at will in recent weeks would be out to maintain their hope of claiming the title..

Southern Stallions vs Northern Power
at Edfield Stadium

Well we had First vs Second, whilst Last took on second last. The Power could condemn the Stallions to the wooden spoon with a win at Edfield Stadium.. The Stallions had struggled in recent weeks whilst the Power were in top form and were raging favourites.
