Great win Reds!

Liam, Townsy got a record for 6s hit in an innings? Would six come close?

We beat Green the game before.
Fair enough. One win in nine. Still dire. :p

Liam, the BBB doesn't work for the Green v Black on the 30th. I need it to see how many points black and green get from black's mammoth first innings ^^

Anyway, with bonus points still to come from one match for Black and Green, updated table:

Code:
Team	Played	Won	Lost	Drawn	Tied	Bat	Bowl	Points
Blue	14	6	3	5	0	39	40	183
Black	14	4	3	7	0	41	38	163
Red	13	6	5	2	0	34	37	163
Colts	13	5	4	4	0	28	33	147
Green	14	2	8	4	0	41	36	121
Black and Green already have the most batting bonus points and still have a game to gain points from? Sounds excessive.

Anyway:..

http://cricketweb.net/cwxi/devleague/s12/5D/GreenvBlack2BBB.TXT

Green 2 batting, 2 bowling - 125
Black 5 batting, 2 bowling - 170

Hmmm another golden.
You still average 60-odd for the season. You're allowed a let-off.

Cricket Web Green v Cricket Web Red
CW Oval

Scorecard
Ball by Ball

Two terrific rearguard actions from Cricket Web Red inspired a convincing 178-run win over Cricket Web Green at the CW Oval. Gaurav Nayak and Sean Bennett were in brilliant allround form, twice rescuing CW Red with the bat and taking wickets at crucial stages in the massive win.

In the first innings, the Reds collapsed from a steady 110-0 to 183-7, then Nayak and Bennett put on 106 runs for the eighth wicket. Xavier Rose finally broke through with the wicket of Bennett for 37, then trapped Nayak lbw for 80. The fringe allrounder had struck 9 boundaries in his innings, facing 74 balls. The dismissal gave way to Dave Watt, who slammed 4 boundaries and a six over square leg in an innings of 29 from 21 balls. CW Red were 342 all out, despite 3 wickets apiece going to Cameron and Rose.

CW Green was not quite as sharp with the bat, and did not receive lower order boost that the Reds did. After an opening partnership of 51, the innings crumbled against a balanced attack, and CW Green were all out for 167. Building on a lead of 175, CW Red lost early wickets to struggle a 87-6. Thompson (31) and Nayak (53) attacked in 52 runs together, then Bennett held the Greens back further with an innings of 58. And again Watt swatted airily, adding 28 of a partnership of 31 for the final wicket of 278 all out.

The Greens then needed 454 runs to win from 149 overs. Rob Malone departed early, then Nick Scott and Anthony Lezama looked to be challenging the enormous target. The score moved along to 135, then Scott was smartly stumped by Mørk for 65. The innings looked to be fading when Garven was run out for 14, but Martyn Corrin struck a typically defiant 38 to hold the Reds off. Lezama was caught at mid-off for 87, deserving a hundred for his efforts, providing Nayak with his first wicket of the match. With his medium pace, he followed up with the wickets of Cunningham and Halsey, while Corrin fell to a Thompson legcutter. Rose and Forner produced a small partnership at the end, but Kennett snared both to reckless shots - 275 all out.

Cricket Web Red 1st 342 all out (114.3 overs)
GN Nayak 80, GKK Dobson 56, H Mørk 49, SA Bennett 37

Cricket Web Colts v Cricket Web Blue
PDV Dome

Scorecard
Ball by Ball

Twin hundreds by Jack Ullungura helped Cricket Web Blue to a competitive draw against the Colts as 35 wickets fell in a fiercely competitive fixture at the PDV Dome. With the Reds playing well at the Oval, the Blues were under pressure throughout to pick up points against the Colts and hold on to the top first-class spot. The Colts, in turn, looked for a victory to get their press for the finals truly on track.

Though all the batsmen looked settled in the Colts first innings, they perished consistently to loose shots, predominantly outside the offstump. And despite perfect batting conditions, they found themselves on 175-5 before the first day's tea. Mike Wilson joined Will Kerr in a familiar position, particularly against CW Blue, as they stole a victory from uncertainty earlier in the season. This time they played even better, dispatching anything marginally loose, and posing tight defence in the meantime. Kerr raised his bat for his maiden FC hundred shortly before stumps, and he continued to 123 on day two, then edged Demeza to the gully.

Hancock followed him back to the pavilion for 4, then Wilson gathered his own hundred, hitting just 1 four and 2 sixes in 116 balls to do so. He was deceived by a Camps slower ball on 106, and the CW Blue captain then got his opposite number for a duck. The Colts were all out for 425 - an outstanding recovery - and Camps and Demeza ended with 4 wickets each.

The visitors plugged away with the ball and had the wickets of Young (28) and Mamesh (24) before tea on day two. Ullungura remained with Cribb and together they put on 144 by stumps. While Ullungura was flashy and aggressive, Cribb took a more watchful, yet classy, tone. The partnership expired at 176, when Ullungura was run out for the cursed 111. Dinu DeSilva (19) and Sean Fuller (13) came and went, but both played parts in ushering Cribb to an unprecedented fifth FC ton of the season. He was finally out for 115, top edging Thomas to Jasotharan - a tired shot - and Alex Crampton was left to guide CW Blue to 389 all out.

Only 36 runs were between the teams at the halfway stage, but James Malthus and Simon Fitzsimmons quickly increased the distance. An opening partnership of 82 gave way via a run out, then Demeza dismissed Towns before he could score. Fitzsimmons and Butler prevented a strong Blue comeback by adding 150 for the third wicket. Butler was bowled by Fuller for 69, then Demeza ended Fitzsimmons' monumental innings of 148. Jasotharan scooted along to 34 from 34 balls, but Camps was in good form again, and he and Fuller pulled back the Colts charge. They were made to settle for 369 all out, leaving CW Blue a target of 406 and exactly one day in which to get it.

The early loss of Mamesh (2) hardly masked the Blues' aggressive intent against some poor Colts bowling. The home boys were 72-2 when Young was caught at lone slip in the 13th over. Alex Crampton was promoted and bowled for 6, and again Cribb came in at a crucial venture in the game. He and Ullungura again brought sanity back to the innings, and this time put on 87 in pressing toward safety. Cribb feathered through to Jasotharan, Wilson the successful bowler, and Rai brought uncertainty into the game with the wicket of Ullungura for 129.

Less than an hour was then left in the game, and though the Colts pressed on with the old and new ball in the final 13 overs, they could not initiate any other breakthroughs. DeSilva and Fuller managed to strike a couple of lusty blows in their unbroken showing of 41.

Picked the right time to come online...:)

Disapointing we couldn't bowl our way to a win with a more than handy total to defend.

Congratulations to Kerr on his maiden FC hundred, and also strong performances from Wilson and Rai. Fitzsimmons continues his strong run this season.

Excellent win, lads. Mildly inspired selection of Nayak too, it seems, even though Dwyer at four didn't work at all (apologies, but someone has to bat there...) Well bowled Kennett, well batted Bennett (and Kennett - blockage extraordinaire...)

Blue drawing is good, too. Thanks Colts. :)

By my calculations, that makes...Blue 196 (15 games), Red 183, Black 168, Colts 158, Green 125 (15 games).

Green out of the title race. Colts in principle out, though with enough bonus points there is a chance of overtaking Blue, and they'll probably beat one of Black and Red given that two of them face each other - hard to see them making past both of Red and Black though.

Red v Black in two days mildly crucial, Black overtake Red with a win and a bonus point more.

Solid draw, well played both sides really. Ullungura with two hundreds in the match - gun performance. My fifth FC ton of the season as well - really has been a breakthrough season for me.

Run feast! Well done Cribby and Lunger's. Tough match to be a bowler, on both teams, and a draw at this stage of the season is better than losing it on the last day.

Hah, my match figures ... 7/250 from 43, tough day at the office.
