Brutal stuff from Demeza in the first dig. The only bowler who managed to make an impact.

Stoked with that, i think thats my third double. A nice return to form anyway, nice to have another big partnership with Corrin too.

Rose was brilliant in the first innings. Held the bowling together with wickets and economy.

in all honesty i would say the dire first innings batting was just as much to blame as the bowling.

Yet we still managed to set them nigh on 300 in the last few days. The fact of the matter is that we've only had two bowlers make any sort of impact all season, and they're both all-rounders! Two first choice test bowlers are averaging 30+ in domestic cricket and a former ODI player is averaging 40+.

The specialist bowling this season (and the last two seasons, let's be honest) has been a joke compared to the massive chunk of salary cap they take up. Not putting up with it for another ****ing season, let me tell you.

If you look at the stays though 4 of the bowlers are ranked in the top 13 by average (or were up to the last stars update) on bowlers with 10 wickets or more, so its not as if they are being outperformed by the other teams. Bowling is just hard these days. If you look at the batsmen its probably a similar story with 4 of the top 6 up in the top 15 for averages so you could say 2 of the top six are under performing as opposed to one of the bowlers. Obviously its time for patrick to take a spell but I don't think pickup or borcich have been that terrible. In any case we've hardly had a consistent pace attack since god knows when, and usually an all rounder has been a big part of our team.

They haven't been terrible, but I expect more from both, as IMO, I should. Pickup's the test team captain, and apart from 1 or 2 matches this season has been comprehensively outperformed by you in all facets of the game. If I had a backup spinner at all I'd probably be giving him a spell.

It's no secret that we've not won an FC title since sXI because our bowling hasn't been up to scratch. Not sure how else I can put it, but in last years final only one bowler showed up and we still nearly won.

The most annoying part of this all is that even if I wanted to drop someone I've really got stuff all options. I've got Gough, who's had a good amount of gametime this season and is averaging 40+, I've got Smith (who will play over Patrick) and Gelman. If only Heath wasn't a ****in' cat maybe we'd be okay.

The way it's gone for 3 seasons, if me, Cloete or Blackman (Arnold as well) doesn't make 150+ in the first innings and we set 500+, we lose the game. And even then, we draw half of them. Not good enough for a first choice bowling attack that costs 24 contract points out of a cap of 68.

Can't complain with that. 7/46 against the black juggernaut is up there with my most memorable.

Second innings went to ****, guess you can't keep the likes of Black down twice. The chase was insane. Awseome result.

Garven monstered the yellows, five sixes in that 236. Well supported by Corrin and good return for Rose in the first innings

Another ridiculous margin of victory for the Blacks, as they whittled out Colts for a paltry 137 during their chase at Pickford. The opening partnership of Black, as usual, dominated completely.

Ash Chaulk was the dominant of the two partners this time, smashing a hundred off just 86 balls, but the Colts bowlers were clueless against the 202-run opening partnership. Black didn't quite manage to accelerate, as Wilson, Wright and Spinks snared wickets, but as it turned out, the total of 319 for seven was more than enough.

In response, Butler and Fitzsimmons were the best batsmen, adding 61 in compact, if not extravagant fashion. However, the platform they built was shaky. Colts required 259 in 35 overs for the win, but instead imploded into a sorry mess of particles. Accelerating without the field restrictions proved too much, and the lower order just kept getting bowled while the upper order was out lofted. All in all, a comfortable performance by Black.

Sean Fuller made his second century in as many fifty-over games as Blue made light work of a target of 260 - though the contributions from people not named Fuller were insignificant. The Masters largely got themselves out and the other Blue batsmen barely contributed a score.

Imran and Kemp put on 91 for the first wicket, but the Masters never really got going. Luke Ronchi threatened to put on a partnership with Lara, but most of them contrived to hit their own stumps after decent starts, resulting in the Masters being bowled out for 259 with 22 balls remaining.

In response, Blue just batted, leaving things up to Sean Fuller. He batted exceptionally, barely giving a chance during his 146 not out, and showed timely form ahead of the Chairmen's Trophy. With fifteen fours, no Masters bowler got in control, and Blue reached the target with an over to spare.

Despite conditions in the CWBCC Stadium being largely conducive to spinners, Martin West completed a remarkable six-wicket-haul to complement Rob Dauth's hundred and bring the first half of the Cricket Web Red's one-day season to a successful close. Green played an embarrassing innings with the bat, but even so, West's performance should not be underrated.

After choosing to bat, Red failed to put Green properly under the cosh, as they failed to assemble more than 236 for five despite Dauth's run-a-ball hundred. McNamara, Forner and Corrin all performed the containment role well, while the new ball bowling from Rose and Cunningham prevented another new-look opening pairing from assaulting.

However, the less said about Green's batting, the better. After Corrin, there really was little to write about. West ended with six for 32, which should show how abysmal it really was.

In other news, a win!!!!

Awesome stuff from Dauth, and then West (y). Pleased with how my experiment went opening the bowling with DK went as well

Our batsmen continue to be amazing in OD Cricket. Pretty much impossible to lose after the opening stand.

Colts are better than that.
