I think that all this argueing should be moved to a different topic. There should be one called 'Argue All You Like' and people can do anythnig inside it. Because it's just making other poeple get caught up in it all.

Loony BoB

International Captain
Hey, it's doing okay so far! Hopefully everyone can continue in such a manner and we'll all have this sorted out by tomorrow.

Eh heh. :D

i think his point was that if Marc has a problem with the side than he should email his selections.

Which I do tend to do.

My issue was with the Internationals being selected, and nobody informing us that they were available.

Do you really want me to post the entire defence of this issue? I've gone against Marc's selection on one or two occasions.
Apart from the on field decisions, which unless I'm very much mistaken are the Captain's choice?

I'll admit that tactics have come into play a couple of times, once when I genuinely was at fault and I apologized for that, though it hardly cost the game. However, you would like people to believe that I mass ignore your tactics, when that's hardly the case. I proved to you (as indicated by my having statistics to show, you having none, and my having the last word) that I have followed your tactics to the letter. Please don't force me to reveal the behind the scenes dealings to the public. It won't be good for cricket or the CW XI or anyone else for that matter.

I have said my piece and with that in the past and a desire to put it behind me, I apologize to you for that.

Apart from the request to not bowl a certain person at all?

And if the same player scores 10 runs an innings for the next 5 Tests, he'd still have 9 tons and 3000 runs...
Of course, everyone would have dropped Bradman if he regustered a poor series. Considering Cloete is comfortably our best batsman, he is an automatic selection.

1/ The request was not to bowl him unless the situation was dire.

2/ He bowled a handful of overs during the period! On the rare occasion that he bowled more than a couple of overs, he took wickets crucial to the team's cause!

Cricket Web Blue 2nd Innings 259 for 7 dec.
Cricket Web Green 2nd Innings 359 all out
Cricket Web Blue won by 63 runs.

Daily Blast Comment: A game won by the batting of Blue. A fantastic century by Toogood lay the foundations, but CW Green fought back behind a Cloete hundred. Still the Blues took a hefty 1st innings lead and batted well enough to elevate it over 400 for a tall target. Age Master's men did not give up hope though and took the fight to the last hour of the match when they ran out of steam. Fascinating game with brave performances on both ends.

Daily Blast Comment: Taking all their experience from the defeat of last week into consideration, the Reds charged back with a professional showing to beat England A in the rematch. England A did ultimately literally drop the game, but skipper Marc's determined hundred and a bit of magical spin bowling saw it home. Steds and Supa Freak were a useful combination and took wickets at key stages. The cake was then topped by a 4-wicket burst from Dave, finishing things off nicely. Good win in tough times for the Reds.

CW Allrounders In Sheep Scandal!

[CW Oval] Imran Khan Jr. and Yasa Fayaz were suspended from duty for CW cricket when it was discovered that they were illegally importing sheep to the East coast of Australia. It is not clear where the sheep source from, but neither player possesses a sheep importing liscence.

The offence, though not commonly occurring, is punishable by jail time of up to 15 years and is little known of in Australia. No comment from the CW Red management, the players, the CWBCC nor the sheep's lawyer.

Well done Reds - I just need to stop this habit of getting to 100 and getting out :(

Still, we did the job, a big thanks to the late stand-in - it's hard to perform when you're called on at such short notice.

The Reds confirm that the player involved in this incident has been sacked without appeal - his underhand methods threaten the whole integrity of the system, and I have long campaigned for that to be recognised.
