Cricket Web Blue vs Cricket Web Green
at the PDV Dome

There was no stopping Andrew Cloete at the PDV Dome, as he marched to a record high List-A individual score, smashing 174 not out off 154 balls. The innings propelled CW Blue to 318/3 - 112 too many for Green to chase.

Cloete received super support from captain Sean Fuller, and the two had an unbeaten partnership of 192 runs from 182 balls. The fantastic cricket kept the home crowd thoroughly entertained.

The intense pressure of the required run rate squeezed the Greens from the start, and wickets fell regularly as the result was always all but inevitable. Tom Halsey cashed in with 4 wickets, as the Green middle order attempted to keep the demanding momentum going.

CW Blue 318/3 (50 overs)
CW Green 206 ao (42.5 overs)

CW Blue won by 112 runs
Man of the Match: AP Cloete

Cricket Web Black vs Cricket Web Colts
at the SCG

The Colts halted their recent struggles, pulling off a commading 7-wicket win over the Blacks. The Colts' late innings bowling was superb, and helped limit the Black score to 208/7, despite an opening partnership of 128 between the in-form Thompson and Dubb-Lynch.

Responding to the mediocre total, Mamesh and Jasotharan batted calmly and maturely, adding 140 for the first wicket, and presenting a cruise to victory, despite a late double strike by Chris Broadbent.

CW Black 208/7 (50 overs)
CW Colts 209/3 (42.1 overs)

CW Colts won by 7 wickets
Man of the Match: GM Thomas

Great couple of wins there Blues, incredible batting from Cloete in the second of them, some good tight bowling all round, and a couple of chances for me to put my feet up in the pavillion.

We're ahead Reds, turning for the final straight.

Just ahead, by a head, but we're ahead.

That's 2 awesome OD wins in a row!!! We now have the best Run Rate and are only one point from first place.

Excellent innings from Sean to get us aove 300, definitely deserved his century there, and Tom continues his great form with the ball taking 4-fer and Adam backed up from his heroics of last match with another solid effort. Good all-round display from the bowlers though!

Let's go Blue! Just gotta win some more 4D games!

Wow, what a knock from Andrew. It was great to be down the other end for most of it as well. Interestingly, being absolutely stuffed from all that running seemed to improve my bowling, as my first 7 overs went for 17 runs. :p

Anyway, that was a great win guys, and we're just 1 point off top spot now, and half a game off top spot in the longer form as well. We can definately make the final in both.

Yeah, Colts - good work! Still waiting for a super dig from Jasotharan at the top of the order in OD, another 100 off 50 balls could come in handy :p
