Smith really proving the stuff in OD cricket. Really stepping up in a Nath-less Blue attack. Impressive performance to drag out the point there. Hopefully we can continue to hang in a good spot in OD, giving room to push for the title down the stretch.

Smith's awesome in OD cricket. We've got a bit of depth in the bowling in that form now, given that McKern can't make the side, and Dunn's played one game and took a bag of wickets.

Nice to get my OD bowling average down below 100, too. Obviously we could have batted a bit better and won the game, but it's hard to be disappointed with a tie this season.

Well played Blues to earn a tie from that position... top stuff... and well bowled especially to Voltman... everyone bowled well and kept it tight, really (apart from the "I'm... ****" Camps). :p

Scorecard
Ball By Ball

Red eked out victory after good spells from their seamers, though it was Kyle Wright who tugged this match back into a contest after a massive opening stand from Red. Colts responded in kind, but failed to keep up with the run rate, and lost by just three runs after being choked by Watt and Bennett near the death.

Red batted first, and went very well, losing one wicket in the first 26 overs before Wright reintroduced himself - with stunning returns. In a three over spell, Wright claimed five wickets for four runs, and the game needed a Robbins/Bennett partnership to be tugged back to parity. Red eventually eked out 220 for eight, but it looked too small, especially after Colts quietly amassed 128 in the first 30 overs.

The return of Kennett brought similar effects, however; he struck to remove both Towns and Das. Wides were abundant, however, and by the start of the 40th over Colts required 40 with eight wickets in hand.

It should have been a breeze. However, Watt's deliveries to Malthus-Howell and Jasotharan were simply unplayable, conceding two runs in his two-over spell; with Bennett providing a maiden over to Pitt, Colts suddenly needed 26 off 24, and it got worse when Robbins beat the bat thrice in the next over. Despite Pitt and Bharat finally finding the boundaries at the end, it was too little, and Red won a match they deserved to lose by three runs.

Ouch! That loss really hurts, especially given that we had 6 wickets left in hand. Excellent bowling from all the bowlers.

Lookout ODI bowlers, I'm back...:D

Great win Reds, great bowling to defend that total. That win puts us back at the top.
