You can't play them either. Still, at least you've won an OD game this year. We're just like England in many ways...

Blue crashed to 121 batting first, with Darren Dubb-Lynch run out in the first over backing up too far against his team-mates.

Blue's batting, so deprived of their greatest stars, actually worked out rather okay in this match, but the bowling went plop. It was going to be hard going from the very beginning, as Mørk and Mamesh smashed runs all around the park for this season's best opening partnership of 145 runs; it never got better. Luff, Kearsley, Dobson, Ritchie and Dwyer all passed 50, with Dwyer in particular flogging the bowlers, racing to fifty in 32 balls and taking 61 balls to reach 82 before he was lbw to Demeza on the 62nd. Red eventually amassed 559, though Blue got some consolation by managing to take all wickets inside 130 overs.

Blue batted well enough, however, to instill fear into the Red hearts. Cribb went early, a top edge going to Nayak at short leg, but both Cloete and Currie hung around well with Peter Young, who returned to form with a splendid 150, his fourth century of the season. Kennett and Bennett struck at regular intervals, however, bowling themselves into the ground to reduce Blue to 302 all out - the new ball against the tail wrecking total havoc.

Following on, Blue lost Cribb in the first ball of the over, but rallied briefly from 48 for three through Currie and Dubb-Lynch. Against a close-in field, the pair bashed fifties, but once again Kennett returned on top - his seventeen overs gave returns of seven for 47, thus ending with 13 wickets in the match, Man of the Match honours, and a place on top of the wicket-taking rankings this season.

Poor batting and overcast conditions resulted in a low-scoring match, though the occasional innings from Scott, Nayak, Gaukroger and Towns showed that the pitch was not unplayable - just difficult to settle on, especially against up-and-at-'em seamers with an axe to grind.

Green batted first, and immediately slipped to 49 for four, and it should have been more but for the numerous times Scott survived the finger thanks to sloppy fielding. Quick runs from Cunningham and Rose helped bring the total up past 200, and Scott was denied a century when Hancock trapped him lbw for 99, after having been given two lives.

Colts chased 229, but really managed to get themselves into it against Cunningham and Rose. Seven batsmen were out in single figures before Rai, Wright and Thomas hung about a bit with Gary Nayak - he ended unbeaten on 58. However, from 25 for seven there was little he could do, and Colts were whipped out for an embarrassing 109, Cameron and Gundry taking the honours.

Then Green crashed to 33 for five, as Thomas' pace was all too much for the top order - only Rodgie played him with some security, but he had his leg stump uprooted by an offcutter from Wright. Gaukroger stuck about, however, recording 69 valuable runs before she, too, fell to the unstoppable Thomas - he took seven for 68, but Green still set a solid target of 270 to win.

It was too much. Burke collected a pair as he chipped a return catch to Rose, Cameron struck twice to leave them in the mire at 47 for five, and after Hancock's gritty 20, there was little to be had. Rose cleaned up after Towns smashed him to Mitchell at long off for 47, trying to bring up his fifty in style, and Green won by 143 runs with Rose completing a six-for.

Cricket Web Green 229 all out (Scott 99; Wright 3/59, Thomas 3/65)
Cricket Web Colts 109 all out (Nayak 58*; Rose 4/23, Cunningham 3/20)
Cricket Web Green 149 all out (Gaukroger 69; Thomas 7/68)
Cricket Web Colts 126 all out (Towns 47; Rose 6/48)
Cricket Web Green won by 143 runs
Points: Green 18, Colts 3
Man of the Match: X. P. A. Rose

Absolutely awesome effort from the top 7 - and Kennett's 13 really showed his class.

What are the best match figures in dev history?

Great stuff Reds. Hak i didn't reach the 50 :D, but still nice to get a 40 odd. Great allround batting by the team at a wonderful rate. And Kennett is a star, Bennett was also pretty good with the ball.
