Australia A in Pakistan

Run like Inzy

U19 12th Man
I knew there must be some kind of reason he was mentioned as a Pakistani prospect, and it obviously wasn't the amount of runs he has been scoring because they haven't really been coming in huge quantities. Yasir Hameed is hardly rubbish, he'll get a batting spot when Pakistan play their next Test, and rightfully so.
He has been really hard done by the selectors IMO, but now without Yousuf and Inzi he should almost be an automatic selection.

Jesus Christ they succumbed to Bollinger, White and Hopes, that’s scandalous. At least give MacGill a wicket or two.

What are Jaques and Rogers thinking? 50 each? Surely one of them would have run the other out by now. Idiots.

MacGilla needs to do well on this tour, can't afford to bowl crap at all. Or else its Brad Hoog or Australia revert to a 4 prong pace attack until a young spinner can step up, if that ever happens in the near future of course.

MacGill would have to have the worst tour in the history of tours not to play in the first test IMO. I think he's a cert. Bit early to be writing him off after 4 overs on the tour.

You'll Never Walk Alone
White 2/45 (8)
Cullen 2/26 (8)
...
MacGill 0/26 (4)

Will keep the Stuey bashing coming until Heal is selected.

Frankly speaking i would have like to see Bailey in the playing XI too, ok he has been expensive in the odi's but if Australia are expecting big things from him they atleast need to give him a chance in the 4-day game first.
MacGilla didn't even take a wicket but still Pakistan got all out 199, now thats poor stuff from Pakistan.

Hilfenhaus yes, but thats the nature of A side when guys get called up to the national side. But you got to remember that Gillespie came in for him. And if Australia failed with Hilfenhaus then people would have said if Gillespie, Griffin etc were picked they would have done better. But Gillespie was average and i can't see MacDonald, Edmondon or Dorey doing any better. There all pretty average and not much better if at all then the guys that were in the squad. There not really any bowlers that you could have added to squad that would have done much better outside Bichel.
Can't agree with any of your various comments posted on this thread.

The main problem was not that the Aussie seamers were all that bad (not saying they were great either), it was just that the pitches strongly favoured the spin bowlers. Because we had no other one-day spinners in the squad other than Dan Cullen, we were forced to bowl four seamers in every match. Pakistan, on the other hand, played only three or sometimes just two seamers and the majority of their overs bowled were by spin.

How well did the Pakistan seamers fare in the series? One did very well, the rest...

Bollinger is probably my least favourite cricketer in Australia, but he's not that bad. Most bowlers who can swing the ball at decent pace will be a handful on their day.

Anyway, nice to see things turning around in the longer form.

PakPassion they post the scores at the end of the day.
I'd say noffke 8,cullen 9,bollinger 10 and macgill 11.
Heard that on the 20/20 tim nielson refused replacements for the 20/20 tour because he thought the games australia A were playing were more important.
