RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, invigorated fitness.
An attacking player with feeble leadership skills and mediocre experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: quality Concentration: respectable
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: woeful

Awesome, he is looking quite decent now. Otherwise my team is in something of a state of disarray... I have lost 2 OD games on the trot, lost an FC game 2 weeks ago, PFL isn't great, my batsmen aren't scoring runs and my bowlers aren't taking wickets. Not to mention I had to list Dugdale because I was in debt... and he only got 1.6mil.. dubya t f? He is an 18yo strong/resp with resp stamina. Frickin bull****. And I am still in struggletown with the finances... am heading for a loss of 300k this week and don't have enough to get 80k interest. Most annoying though is that I no longer have Dugdale... which leaves a substantial hole in my lineup, at least looking ahead.

Gheyy. Need to pay more attention.

So the reports of the credit crunch hitting BT are true then?!

That's pretty unlucky -- would have got £2.5M for sure earlier this season, if not more.

Got two remarkable pops today:

21. Will Buckley - 21 yo, BT Rating=72,663
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler
Stamina: superb Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: quality Concentration: remarkable
Bowling: remarkable Consistency: remarkable
Fielding: mediocre

2. Joe Mulryne - 19 yo, BT Rating=44,664
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: remarkable Concentration: remarkable
Bowling: worthless Consistency: feeble
Fielding: strong

That's both batting and bowling popping on Buckley in consecutive weeks. I've got a bit of a dilemma now -- do I keep training him, or do I move on to another bowling trainee? I've still got two batting trainees and a bowler (well, bowling all-rounder) on the go...might just plump for a couple of floating stamina nets.

I could take Buckley up to Wonderful, but then, I've already got John (Sensational/Sensational) as my top spinner.

Just thinking out loud. Have now analysed things on AtStumps (which I should have started using bloody ages ago), and I think the lad's got one more level of bowling left in him, plus one each of fielding, conc and consistency.

Looks like I may have to stop chucking FC if the sponsorship is linked to your standing in that too. IV isn't going to earn me much...

EDIT: If you give a player a fielding net, is that better for Concentration than a 2nd batting net?

Yes; batting only contributes once to conc, no matter how many nets you have on it.

Will shift Ferrell's stamina net to one of my 18yo trainees now, who will both be wonderful by the end of next season. Need to start properly looking for 2 all-rounders, one to replace my 27yo current 1 and another to improve my spin rating so needs to be sensational+. Not going to be easy.

the weakened side is struggling at the moment. but my trainees continue to come along nicely. i'm going to add a 5th next season i think. preferably, if anyone has a young batsmen, who is strong/superb, that they want to sell, who also has good stamina, thats proficient+++, not competent, ffs, let me know.

kind regards, nibbs.

Keane* 81 (70 balls)
Dylan 56 (37 balls)
Last Wicket: Hodgkiss Run Out 12 (FOW: 46/3)
26.6 4 Thornley to Dylan
Dug in short by Thornley and Dylan rocks back and nails it through the leg side for four.
26.5 4 Thornley to Dylan
Thornley over pitches and is creamed through the covers for four by Dylan. Compact little player is Dylan, I've always been impressed watching him bat.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
26.4 4 Thornley to Dylan
Dylan smashes it past point and picks up four runs!
26.3 4 Thornley to Dylan
Jabbed into the gap between slip and gully and the ball races away with two men chasing in vain.

Dylan not hanging around.

Had a great win against Respite CCC today (thanks, Trev). Put on a partnership of 100 for the 8th wicket to get me over the line. Candappa and Batty pairing up to demolish his weak backup bowlers. A very un-battrick like victory.

Who said batting down to #9 never won you matches?
