Mat,

Have you had any offers to play County Cricket and is it something you have considered, or in the near future?

Thanks

On the last tour of South Africa (I think it was the last tour anyway) you played in the ODI series. I remember one of the game you held our batting together and then at the death got nailed in the head by an Ntini bouncer. You then proceeded to charge down the pitch and smash him for 4 and then 6 (I think..memory a little fuzzy here). I thought it took some quite massive balls to charge down the pitch after being smashed in the head on a fairly quick deck against a quality bowler, what was going through your head? What prompted you to charge down the pitch? Anger?

It was gold anyway. Good luck to you and CD for the upcoming season.
i must admit a bit of both anger and embarasement all in one plus he couldnt bowl another bouncer for that over so decided to charge down and wack him over mid off:cool:

We've seen 1001 different Test opening combinations for New Zealand in recent times. Every time you look to be finding a viable partner for the established opener, the established opener drops off in his performances and finds himself dropped to start the vicious cycle all over again with the "viable partner" assuming the "established opener" role, etc etc.

Who do you think should be opening the batting for New Zealand in Test cricket?
Pinga FTW. :p

Cheers for the reply Matt. Another question: Whats happened to Robbie Schaw lately? Seemed quite a promising leggie but has fallen behind a few other guys it seems.

Hi Mathew, is there any reason why you haven't played any cricket for counties in England? I would have thought with your FC record in a country with playing conditions closer to England than any other, teams would be falling over each other trying to sign you up.

Matt,
What do you think you should do to get back into the national side?
If you were granted an opportunity to join the IPL, which team do you opt to join?
What do you think about Jesse Ryder?
not sure to be honest keep scoring big hundreds:unsure:...would love to play ipl i would play for any team that would want me...ryder is a great find here in nz but i worry about a little of his off the field antics but agreat guy with a very good future if he wants one or not

Hi Matt

What country or more specifically ground was your favourite to bat at during your career? Did you have a particular ground that you just loved to play at because of the conditions or something like that?

robbie had a indifferent season this year i find with leg spin bowlers they need to be bowling lots to gain confidence and rythm robbi missed out on this and is currently playing over in darwin to hopefuly regain some touch and form

That's a big shame Matt, you'd be most welcome at Lancs we really need someone like you to bat in the top order with Paul Horton. You sure you can't get in on an EU passport? ;)

Have you played any club cricket in England?, I know a few kiwi's have played in the Lancashire leagues recently.

When it came to international cricket, do you think you had any technical deficiencies, or do you think you lacked consistency due to the mental aspect of the game? Or any other reason why you think you struggled at test level?

Hey Mathew
As a NZ supporter,I am glad that bond will be back soon. His absence was felt very badly..Do u think that NZ lacks quality seamers as the spin attack is lead well by vettori???And how do rate evettori as a captain???
