Jai Hind Ground in Guyana? Seriously?
Im from the area, not too far away is the Albion Sports Complex- a venue every Indian should know well enough.

This part of Berbice is majority Indo-Guyanese (myself included). So, one can understand why they decided to name their club that name.

I might also add that there’s another cricket club in the area that was heavily influenced by Pakistan and their World Cup win in 1992- the Fyrish All Stars. The captain is a 60 year old Imam of the local mosque, they are also the sole distributors of CA cricketing equipment in the county.

Our country is quite diverse.

Not too far away from the Port Mourant Cricket Club (home ground of Rohan Kanhai and Alvin Kallicharan), there is a village called Bangladesh. I played against them only once.

U19 Captain
Cricketer John Campbell has received a reduction of two years and two months on his four year suspension for evading and failing to submit to a urine sample.

The 30-year-old Campbell, who received the ban in October, 2022 will now be eligible to return to competitive cricket in July or August of this year.

The ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sports, CAS, found Campbell did not deliberately try to evade. The court says the issue was out of negligence on Campbell’s part.

CAS also in their ruling says it didn’t find Campbell to be a cheat.
